Credit Card on File Policy
As of December 1 2022 all patients of Bishop Massage and Wellness will be required to have a valid credit card on file.
Thank you for your understanding as we transition into some new billing policies. We understand this may be a tougher adjustment for some and want to thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Please read below for more information about our new policy.
CCOF Policy
Bishop Massage and Wellness is committed to reducing waste and inefficiency and making our billing process as simple and easy as possible. Starting December 1 2022, we now are requiring that you provide a credit card on file with our HIPAA- compliant, secure practice management software, JaneApp.
When you come in, our front desk staff will ask to see your card. They will manually enter the information into our system. Alternatively, you can add your card through our online booking system. Your payment information is stored on JaneApp’s secure servers for future transactions. Office personal will not have access to your card. For your protection, only the last 4 digits of your card will show on our system.
How your credit card on file is used depends on your insurance provider:
Pacific Blue Cross, ICBC, and Medavie Blue Cross (RCMP): We continue to direct bill these insurers on your behalf. Your credit card on file will only be charged for any remaining balance not covered by your plan, once your insurer has processed the claim.
All other insurance providers: Payment for your session is due in full at the time of service, using your card on file or another accepted payment method. As a courtesy, our team will submit your claim to your insurance provider on your behalf; however, your insurer will send your reimbursement directly to you, not to our office.
Notes:
- During the time you leave a credit card on file, if it expires or otherwise becomes uncollectable, we will expect you to promptly provide a new means of payment.
- For Pacific Blue Cross, ICBC, and Medavie Blue Cross (RCMP) patients, any credit resulting from your insurer’s claim adjustment will be returned to the card on file.
- Ultimately, you are responsible for knowing what services are covered, how often, and how much of the cost is your responsibility. You will be responsible for any portion of services that your insurance does not cover.
- All patient who receives services at Bishop Massage and Wellness will be required to have a credit card on file regardless of insurance or visit type.
